Abigail McDuff, a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, is a Chicago-based artist and educator. She works with gouache paint, cut paper, and Adobe Illustrator and uses vibrant shapes and patterns to construct portraits of people, objects, and interiors. Her work is reflective of the relationship between humans and their spaces: What is important to us? How do we curate our spaces and ourselves? How does that define us personally and from the perspective of an outsider?

As an educator, she works to provide students with the resources to create and think critically. Concept, choice, and self-reflection play a big role in her lessons.
